Four Season Red Ginseng White Clean Active Mask - Review

September 16, 2015

If you follow me on Facebook, you already know that I was in Kerala to attend my cousin's wedding. Well, that ended up hilarious and very eventful, thanks to my dad and 2 uncles. Also, a lady at the wedding asked me if and what I was studying (FYI....I am married and also have a 7-year-old son :)). Before I could even absorb that good feeling, a horrid grandmother and cousin's wife broke her misconception almost immediately to my utter disappointment, by blurting out the truth. Hmph... Well, that did not stop me from repeatedly narrating this incident to a very uninterested husband and amused mother.
Coming to the mask, this is the second sheet mask I am trying from Skin18. The first one was from Mirum and the one I am reviewing in this post is from Four Season. Let us dig into the review....

My Experience

As already mentioned in the Mirum Fresh Fruit Honey Mask Pack review, it is really difficult to find good sheet masks in India. Under such circumstances, these sheet masks are definitely more than welcome in my life.

As with the Mirum Honey mask, this one fits me well too, although not as perfectly. There are a few folds but you can smoothen them out and then the mask stays fine.
Though it has alcohol, it did not sting or burn on my pet cat-scratched skin. However, I recommend a patch test if you are sensitive to alcohol. I am not sensitive.

I could not identify what it smelt of since I am not familiar with ginseng anyway. It hardly stays, so hardly a problem.
The essence contained in the sheet mask is similar in texture and consistency to the Mirum Honey mask - light, easy-to-spread, and feels non-sticky on face. There is a lot of essence left after removing the mask. So massage it in nicely all over your face, neck, and hands too. I also spread the essence around my eyes (which were not covered by the sheet mask) and it was fine. At this point, your face does look all shiny and wet.
If possible, use the mask at night; and try to avoid washing your face. That is the biggest advantage of a sheet mask anyway, isn't it? As I was saying, sleep with the leftover-massaged face. In the morning, when you wash away, you will find skin that looks clean, brighter, and fresh.

I used this sheet mask on the night before my cousin's wedding which is a rare thing for me to do as I always use tried-and-tested products before an event or function. But due to the good experience with the Mirum mask, I was confident in the quality and went ahead. And I was not disappointed this time too!
